A Legacy of Partnership Working
It’s no mean feat, pulling together partners from different local authorities, working with charities, and community groups. But we are united through one shared aim: To deliver greater flood resilience and improved public wellbeing, through sustainable public spaces.
Our approach to flood management will ensure water management solutions are community-led.

The Flood and Coastal Resilience and Innovation Programme
We’re just one of 25 local projects across the UK, demonstrating how practical, innovative actions can improve resilience to flooding and coastal erosion in a changing climate.
The DEFRA-funded projects are managed by the Environment Agency, and will address current and future flood risks, from the sea, rivers, groundwater and surface water.
The evidence gathered through this 6 year programme will guide future approaches in flood and coastal risk management.

Want to talk?
The project is learning from doing, and lessons will be widely shared. We want this to shape future interventions and make a real difference to our environment and the people we serve.
We’re more than happy to talk about our approach, and the progress we’re making.
